Visiting Edinburgh

I'm looking at flights to Edinburgh at the moment. I have some work do to out at the Gyle and so I'm planning to spend 3 or 4 days in the City. I was planning an Edinburgh visit a couple of months ago, but in the event I didn't get round to it.

Any recommendations on new good food places? I heard that the Jools Holland jazz place is supposed to be good, and I've been keen to eat at the Kitchin for a while. Any up and comers anyone can recommend?
