Le Viaduc de Millau

A 'grand projet' was opened today at Millau in France; 19 metres higher than the Eiffel Tower, 242000 tonnes in total, 400 workers and a cost of €310m ($412m, £214m) the Grand Viaduc de Millau has some impressive stats and looks amazing.

The architect Norman Foster says the experience for viaduct users should be like flying by car.

Princess Diana Memorial Fountain

Jonathon Glancey on the Diana, Princess of Wales memorial fountain (designed by American landscape architect Kathryn Gustafson) in Londons Hyde Park:

The memorial is overlooked by Sir Basil Spence's priapic Knightsbridge Barracks with its horses and cavalrymen; the princess had a soft spot for men in uniform, notably her riding instructor James Hewitt, a guards officer.
I just saw it on the TV News and I've got to say it looks pretty cool. Wouldn't mind one of those in my memory.
