I am astonished that Labour politicians have given over so much time to the business of banning hunting with dogs when they cannot find parliamentary time to solve far more important issues that remain gathering dust on the shelves at Westminster. Never mind the issue itself, I find it simply appalling that those we have elected to run our country see fit to give time to such an innocuous Bill, let alone use an out-dated Act to push their petty-minded ban through Parliament while many far more important issues affecting the well-being of our nation are given little more than lip service. What kind of people do we have running Great Britain?
After this example of democratic abuse, never again should this Government be permitted get away with inaction on the truly important issues they fail to deliver upon, on the ground of there being insufficient parliamentary time available.
The principle involved here is the issue, not the question of whether or not hunting should be banned.
