Green is the new Red

Peter Tatchell, Human Rights campaigner and Green Party member, argues that Green is the new Red. With George Galloway's "Respect" movement having failed to move very much, are politics to the left of New Labour dead in the water? He almost suggests hijacking the Green party as a vehicle for forging a 'radical left' force. I wonder whether the influx of radical left voters would discredit the party and simply serve to disenchant the Green party's base of environmentally conscious, yet otherwise not very radical, voters?
