Checking In

I don't really have anything much to say tonight. That's not gonna stop me though. Went to Songkran for dinner this evening with one of my flatmates and two of her friends who are visiting from Englandshire. Funny little place, nice staff and authentic Thai beer! Food was nice; tempura and then some marinated sirloin with garlic rice. Not convinced it was worth 27quid a head before tip though. Would I recommend it? Yeah I reckon so, but take a rich uncle or something. Just occurred to me that Thai food might not be the best idea right now...

I'm back to Uni on monday, making the most of the next two days. No plans whatsoever but we're thinking about having a burns supper on Sunday to pay tribute to the Bard. I've been trying to memorise the first verse of 'Address to a Haggis';

Fair fa' your honest, sonsie face,
Great chieftain o the puddin'-race!
Aboon them a' ye tak your place,
Painch, tripe, or thairm:
Weel are ye wordy of a grace
As lang's my arm.
but I stumble on that line about Painch, tripe and thairm. Haven't got a clue how to pronounce it, tho I can't even remember it sufficiently. So, maybe we'll do that. I think it may well be my duty to indoctrinate my sassenach friends into the way things should be done. I'll send them out to catch some haggis' beforehand.

Chili's are playing Murrayfield in June - tickets go on sale tomorrow morning I think. Will I be up in time to buy some? Glad they're playing Edinburgh rather than Glasgow as they have the last two times they've been in Scotland.
