Sobig Virus

This evening I've received hundreds of the Sobig Virus messages as described in CERT Incident Note IN-2003-03: W32/Sobig.F Worm. After the first flush of messages earlier in the month it seemed like the situation was under control but it is obviously not. I already get way too much email, someone ought to deal with this! I did my Computing Higher Investigation into computer viruses about 10 years ago and it seems that no one is taking the threat very seriously for it still to be a problem, admittedly it was nothing like as big a problem then because practically nobody had email addresses and the primary means of virus infection was unprotected floppy usage. Hmmm.
