Broadband Provider

My mother wants me to investigate the best broadband provider for her! Never thought I would see the day. I use BT Broadband and find it pretty reliable and fast - anyone any experience of any others? Let me know, post the broadband provider, monthly cost and whether their broadband offering is any good or not. Thanks...

Have a look at www.adslguide.org.uk - they have a 'rank the ISPs by TCO' section, and forums that are sometimes a good source of inside-track info on particular ISPs. There's probably a tendency only to see bad news in the forums, but they give a reasonable picture of what particulat ISPs are like. FWIW, I've found BT Openworld to be pretty good, albeit expensive - I'm still paying the full whack £29.99 even after they dropped their prices, grrrr....

Hi,

Try this link it has all the details you need.
Ignore the word cheapest as many of them are not.

Just been told about a new ISP www.xtreme.pipex.net good variety of access levels and does not seem to be too badly priced at £23.44 per month. I am currently with BTOpenworld and very happy with their service however like Tim I feel I could get a better price elsewhere for the same level of access. Need to make a decision now on who to use as my provider and will be watching this page carefully!
