Internet under Surveillance

Via Kottke's remaindered links is a great document, "Reporters sans frontières - The Internet under surveillance." It's a 150page PDF examining censorship & monitoring of 'net activity in countries round the world including some who ought to know far better. Introduction is by Vint Cerf, co-designer of TCP/IP and a major influence on the way the 'net works through organisations like ICANN & ISoc. Interesting reading. Cerf points out that the best way of categorising information (desirable/not desirable, credible/not credible) is to utilise a little known tool, critical thinking.
