Alastair Campbell

How Blair bamboozled Brown at Granita is a somewhat pedestrain story, regurgitating again the Tony Blair / Gordon Brown Supper Pact of 1994 which then goes on to six paragraphs on Alistair Campbell, the PM's Communications Director (or some similar title). Of Campbell, Rod Liddle says,

"He, or maybe his deputy, called Andrew "Gullible Gilligan" and me "Lazy Liddle". In an attempt to reciprocate and thus match such biting alliterative wit, I've scoured the dictionary for a suitable adjective to accompany "Campbell". But I couldn't find one. Only a noun."
