Haven't posted for a few days because...

So, like I said, I went through to Glasgow on Saturday and met up with a bunch of folk for lunch (Chicken Ceasar Salad) at some pub on Buchanan Street before heading to The Lighthouse with my big sister and her boyfriend. That was cool then went to Borders and bought a collection of essays by Tony Benn for the Morning Star newspaper which I've started to read but it's a bit anodyne so far. Headed up to the West End with big sis, her bf and little sis and went to Cottiers for a few beers then has a bite to eat at The Rock. The food was dodgy which made me mad. Some mates turned up and had one of those glowstick things (like you get for camping) which I managed to break (idle curiosity) resulting in luminescent liquid spurting out from it over everything. Drunk some more (getting drunk now) and then headed to the 13th note for a cheeky pint b4 they closed and we moved on to BarFly. Met up again with big sis and met her bf's sister & her friend - they were lovely which is nice! Drunk more, danced a bit (which is unlike me) and ...

Sunday, woke up at a Friends house. Don't remember getting back there. Went to Safeway for Lunch! It's one of those Safeway Megastore things and the food was ok. I just had a baked potato. Walked (took 1/2 hour) to the Cottieres place again because they have some folks there on a Sunday playing jazz. I thought I was going to hate it - other wanted to go so I just smiled and went along - but it was pretty amazing actually. I like stuff to have purpose and I used to think that Jazz didn't really have that, kind of meandering around all over the place, but I think I realised that that was the purpose and couldn't help but be in awe of some of the musicians who were pretty good. I played the trumpet at School (never did band camp, actually AFAIK we don't have that kind of thing here) and I was actually thinking it might be cool to get one and see if I can still play it. So, yeah, that turned out good. I forgot to mention that we had a good few pints during all of this so by 8 or 9 when the band were done a mate and I went to Bar Oz to continue in a similar fashion. Couple more folks came out to play and later, much later, got taxi back to my by now temporary abode. Watched Fight Club for 15th time, at least. (Did u see this link?- The Secret Connection between Fight Club and Calvin and Hobbes)

Monday, went to some Weatherspoons pub for lunch around 1pm. Left there 7 hours later, a couple of drinks on, and hopped on the bus to Edinburgh. I was only meant to go through for Saturday night but it took me a while to get round to coming back to Edinburgh. Great to spend time with a bunch of folk I love being with. Good to be back to my own bed. Need to rest wallet and liver for a day or two.
