Mr Bush, when are you coming to liberate us?

As the world's attention drifts in and out of Baghdad and Basra what hope is there for others opressed? In Under cover of war, Mugabe unleashes a new reign of terror the Independent's correspondent Basildon Peta highlights the ongoing situation in Zimbabwe. The global fog of war, embedded corespondents and 24 hour flag waving has provided cover for human rights abuses in Zimbabwe, Cuba (Castro dissidents jailed in reprisals) and Belarus (Freedoms stifled in Belarus). I'm 100% sure that there are many more examples, examples which involve real people, real families and real communities with just as much "worth" as citizens of the UK, US or Iraq.
