SNP make case for independence...

I'm not an old man but I can remember the SNP (Scottish National Party) "making the economic case for independence" at every election I've been aware of. Unsurprising you would think but everytime it ends up being ridiculed and disputed, argued for and against and nobody non-partisan comes up with anything like a remotely trustworthy verdict. I'd be far more inclined to believe them if they simply said that it is important because of x,y & z and we will make it work. Also, the thing about the SNP is that in wooing the left wing electorate they alienate others who may want independence but think their other policies are pretty nuts. Why can't a single issue party be a single issue party? I suppose if anyone can make the case then Andrew Wilson can, he did after all score 4 and a half stars in the Scottish Parliamentarians Report Card, so I guess we need to wait and see.
