The Old Bailey Online

The Old Bailey, somewhat mundanely known as the Central Criminal Court, has been a cornerstone of legal life in London since around 1539 in one form or another. Research Buzz reports on the availability of a fully-searchable online database of accounts of criminal trials held at London's central criminal court. Currently 22,000 trials, from December 1714 to December 1759, are available. The site is at http://www.oldbaileyonline.org/. This is a fantastic site, I've already spent a couple of hours just browsing it.
